Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year, Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) released direction that districts are required to report Associated Student Body (ASB) funds as part of the district’s governmental funds. In 20-21, this added about $700,000 to the district’s general fund reporting. In consultation with the San Mateo County Office of Education and the district auditors, it is recommended that we establish Fund 08 so that the ASB funds can remain separate from the General Fund going forward. |
